Private-Duty Nursing

Fact Sheet

Private Duty Nursing (PDN) is provided as in-home care by Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN). Private-Duty Nursing focuses on one-on-one medical care.

G-Tube Feedings

Safe nutrition delivery through gastrostomy tubes for children unable to eat orally. Services include equipment setup, feeding administration, documentation tracking, and outcome monitoring.

Ostomy Care

Support for children with surgically created openings (stomas). Includes area cleaning, regular inspection, and ostomy bag changes.

Oral Suctioning

A gentle medical procedure used to help children who have trouble clearing saliva, mucus, or other secretions from their mouth. Prevents choking and infections.

CPT Vests and Nebulizer

  • CPT Vests: Gently vibrate the chest to help loosen mucus in the lungs
  • Nebulizers: Convert liquid medicine into inhalable mist for respiratory conditions

Trach, Vent, and O2 Care

Specialized breathing support including tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy.

IV and TPN Care

Manages fluids, medications, and nutrition delivered intravenously or through total parenteral nutrition.

Psycho-Social Assessments

Comprehensive emotional and social well-being evaluations supporting entire families.

Care Coordination and Training

Nurses coordinate with medical teams and provide family training on equipment and medications.

Physical Therapy

Fact Sheet

Physical Therapy is delivered by Licensed Physical Therapists (DPT) or Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) as in-home care. The service focuses on gross motor skill development and addresses various conditions.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) is delivered as in-home care by Licensed Occupational Therapists (OT-R) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA). These professionals address fine motor, sensory, and cognitive disorders.

Play Therapy

Age-appropriate play and learning activities to support development.

Fine Motor Skills

Grasping, zipping, buttoning, fastening, and object manipulation.

Hand-Eye Coordination
